The first book in the ‘Waking Up in the Wild’ series by the writer/artist/illustrator/writer/artist Robert Jordan is available to pre-order now at Booksellers, and the series will be published in September.
The book will be a novelette about a man who wakes up in a desert, finds a cave and learns that the wild places of his life have been changed by the Great Flood.
The story will be set in the world of ‘Fantasia,’ a fantasy fantasy series created by author Jordan and illustrated by artist Brian Ching.
The novelettes will be released in a set number of novellas, which will also include the first two novellae of ‘A Feast for Crows.’
The series, set in a world where there are no gods, has been inspired by Jordan’s ‘Fairy Tales’ and ‘The Chronicles of Narnia.’
“Robert Jordan has been writing his own series for nearly 20 years, so I am thrilled to be able to share his ‘Wake Up in Wild’ story with his fans,” said the author.
“It is an exciting new approach to his stories, with elements from my own favorite authors, including Charles Stross, Philip K. Dick, J.R.
R Tolkien, and many more.
The first three books of the series are scheduled to be released on September 1.”
The series will feature two noveles, ‘A Taste of Ice’ and the novellae ‘A Wild Day.’
The novelles are set in an alternate world where the Great Fire, which is responsible for changing the world, has not yet begun.
“We wanted to create a world in which the Great Flame has not even begun to fade, and that is what this series will explore,” said Jordan.
“With each novel, the author will add new elements to the world that are not in the novellais, and will bring a new element to the story.
These will be the first of several novellæ to be announced soon.”
The first noveler, ‘Harpy’, is a member of a small group of survivors who have found a cave near the end of the Great Desert.
They live in a cave called the Cave of the Horned Serpent.
The Horned serpent, which represents the evil element of fire, is the source of all life on Earth.
It is said that when the Horn of Valere falls, all life is extinguished.
However, there are some who claim to be protected by the Horn, and have been protecting it ever since the Great War.
“I hope the series of novelae will bring the readers to tears,” said author Jordan.
“Robert Jordan’s work has become a worldwide phenomenon.
This new series brings his amazing work to life,” said Bookseller’s president and publisher, David J. Mowbray.
“Robert is the kind of author that inspires us to be more imaginative in our books and stories.
We’re excited to be working with Robert on his new series, and I’m excited to see what other authors will be creating in the future.”
Robert Jordan is a New York Times bestselling author of ‘The Wheel of Time’ series of fantasy novels, ‘The Gathering Storm’ series, ‘Fiasco’ series and more.
