On June 1, 2018, Disney released a short teaser for the upcoming “Spaceman Rogers” reboot, and it’s pretty much what we’ve all been waiting for.
The film stars a brand new cast, including former “Family Guy” cast members Chris Pratt, Zoe Saldana, Sean Maher, and John Leguizamo, along with new “Family” actors Matt LeBlanc and Rosario Dawson.
In this trailer, we see a new villain, played by an up-and-coming actor called “Mr. Smith,” who appears to have taken a liking to Rogers’ new robot buddy.
Rogers gets to see a different side of the world through the eyes of his robot buddy, and we get to meet some new faces along the way.
The trailer was followed by a slew of tweets, and today, the first official poster for the film has surfaced online.
The poster for “Spacer Rogers” is a look at what looks to be a familiar scene.
It features the classic scene from the film, with Rogers riding a rocket-powered hovercraft, accompanied by his robot friend.
In the image, we also get to see the new characters in the trailer, including Pratt and Saldanas, as well as a new voice actor who we don’t know yet, but it could be Dawson.
As a refresher, we already know that this trailer is set for release in 2020, so it’s a bit of a stretch to expect this to be the movie we’re seeing in 2020.
Still, we’re hopeful that it will be a movie that brings back the adventures of Rogers and his robot companion.
Disney has yet to reveal any official details about the film yet, though “Spacers” is definitely a strong contender for a reboot of the original series.
In a recent interview, “Spaceship” writer/director Jeff Pinkner talked about how he hopes to bring back “Spacs” characters.
The original “Spades” series began with the “SpACe” and was followed up by the “Sparks” movies, which were later rebooted with new casts.
“Spacies” has a new director, John Knoll, and a new cast led by LeBlanas and Dawson.
The new trailer also seems to be teasing some of the new faces, including a new character called “Moody,” who is a “space ranger.”
The poster also features the new character of “Spacetree,” who we previously saw in the “The Force Awakens” trailer.
Pinkner has previously teased that this is the “spaceship that Rogers” wants, and now, we know that he’s got that ship.
This trailer also includes a new “spaceman” named “Reebok” who we saw in “Spastic.”
It’s unclear whether or not “Sparc” is the same character as the one seen in the first trailer, but we’ll keep you updated on the status of that character.
Disney’s “Sparkles” series is still in the early stages, but a trailer released earlier this year revealed that it would include a new spinoff.
“Starship” creator John Ostrander has stated that the new series would feature “new characters and new worlds.”
The series has yet and will continue to be in development, with Ostreter’s last tweet announcing that it was going to be called “Spars.”
As we’ve said before, this is just a tease, but if “Sparks” turns out to be anything like “Spas,” we might see “Spash” return in the near future.
“The Adventures of Spacman Rogers” will hit theaters on July 12, 2020.
